The Gloucestershire Local Enterprise Partnership was formally launched today at GE Aviation in Bishops Cleeve.

New Chair, Diane Savory, and Chief Executive David Owen presented on the resources, ambitions and targets of the new LEP for Gloucestershire to an audience of 150 leading business people in Gloucestershire. Gloucestershire County Council Leader, Mark Hawthorne presented on the scope and ambitions of the County Councils’ investment in the local economy and GE Aviation’s Mike Grunza highlighted the power of Gloucestershire in the UK economy. Board members Adam Starkey (Green Gourmet), Roman Cooper (Allcooper) and Michael Tripp (Ecclesiastical Insurance) were introduced.

The key action point for Gloucestershire businesses people who want to stay close the LEP is to apply to become an Ambassador under the new scheme (Ambassador 2.0!). Details and application form at www.gl-am.com
