Gloucestershire First secures investment funding and lobbies in support of various project ideas, from business start ups to training support.

Current projects range from the Rural Development Programme England (RDPE) which has supported over 100 rural businesses through to ‘Gloucester Works’ which targets the needs of employers and employees in the City.

Future Jobs Fund

The Future Jobs Fund is a programme designed to create jobs for adults (aged 18-24).

With our partners, Gloucestershire First has created 130 jobs in the county to give career starters the opportunity to gain six months of work experience. Alongside the job, young people can access training and qualifications so that, at the end of the six months they have the experience, skills and reference to achieve full time employment.
