projects

Gloucestershire First secures investment funding and lobbies in support of various project ideas, from business start ups to training support.

Current projects range from the Rural Development Programme England (RDPE) which has supported over 100 rural businesses through to ‘Gloucester Works’ which targets the needs of employers and employees in the City.

Trade Local

Gloucestershire Trade local campaign

Funding for business groups is provided through the Gloucestershire Trade Local Campaign.

With funding from Gloucestershire County Council through the county's Economic Taskforce, grants of up to £2,000 are available from the new Gloucestershire Trade Local Campaign (TLC), managed by Gloucestershire Market Towns Forum and supported by the Federation of Small Businesses, to support events or activities which will help boost rural businesses.

The Gloucestershire Trade Local Campaign is looking to encourage local business groups to work together with town and parish councils and other organisations to promote the 'buy and trade local' approach.
